Description
Behind the carefully-contrived pseudonym lies either a poetic genius – or not.
Readers must decide that question. We can safely say that this small oeuvre represents an unexpected departure for a publisher of specialised legal texts.
As the poet puts it:
Jennifer Blythe
Was nimble and lithe,
So lissome and delicate she;
But her coming down stairs
Was like twenty large bears
Falling out of a very small tree.
The book contains about 18 of the author’s rhymes, including what is said to be a sonnet, and a lengthy poem vaguely reminiscent of Henry King, by Hilaire Belloc. Sales of the collection have so far proved modest. However, it features excellent cartoons by the well-known Nathan Ariss, and is available to the public for a modest £12, inc. post and packing.
